One of my very best friends in the world is having a baby and when she asked me to help plan her shower with her lovely sister I was beyond excited, even though I’d have to plan from afar as the shower was in California. It turned out that this shower and the shower I previously posted about for another friend here in Montana: A Storybook Baby Shower, happened to occur just one week apart! Luckily, I wasn’t throwing either shower alone and they had very different themes which made planning extra enjoyable.
For this shower, my friend is gluten-free and vegan so planning the food would take a little more thoughtful consideration. Her sister took on the roll of caterer, thank goodness, and I did the decor and some activities for people to partake in. She did a phenomenal job and I had to share them here, because while inspired by Pinterest, she created them all on her own. One person who walked into the venue, which was at a chocolate shop (so cute!) asked who the caterer was and hoped she had a catering business (she’s actually a lawyer but now she has a backup career I think). Here was our Healthy & Hippie Themed Baby Shower: #babyshower #party
The dad-to-be’s sister & sister-in-law filmed video of him answering various questions about baby care and baby facts and then made it into a game so that they asked the mom-to-be the same questions at the shower then after each of her answers showed us his answers via video. It was funny and cute and very creative!
