This weekend I threw another fun, and of course, themed birthday party for my dear friend. She is from Ecuador and to give her a little taste of home I wanted to throw her an Ecuadorian-style dinner party. However, seeing as how I really don’t know much about Ecuador’s food and culture, I went with something a little closer to home–literally as in the country south of us and with recipes I know a little more about. So a Mexican Fiesta it was!
I planned a menu that was both part homemade and part store-bought goodies and bought decorations from Oriental Trading Company, Michael’s Craft Store and even a piñata from Target in the shape of a taco! I will share a few of the recipes, kids’ activities and decorations with you so you too can throw your very own festive fiesta.
